From plane model making to drawing classes. From photography to cinematography. From competitive sailing to design. I am a Designer who is driven by challenge. I hold an MA in Industrial Design from Advanced Product Design at Umea Institute of Design in Sweden.

On this website, you can find a selection of projects created by me over the last years. I hope it will give you a taste of how I work and strive to provide better product experiences.

I majored in Industrial design at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in Istanbul where I learnt the fundamentals of art and design. About halfway through my studies, I started working at Ypsilon Tasarim in Istanbul as an Industrial Designer focusing on furniture, tableware and glassware design. My experience at Ypsilon Design Studio taught me great appreciation of details in design and gave me a strong belief in the design process no matter how challenging it becomes. Having worked for two years in the industry, I felt the urge to deepen my design skills and decided to apply to the internationally renowned design school ‘Umea Institute of Design’ in Sweden. Moving to Umeå, a small town 300km below the Polar Circle intrigued me just as much as my coming master studies.

In between year 1 and 2 of my master studies, I was privileged to work for three major design studios in the world: Smart Design – New York City, Atlas Copco – Örebro and Philips Healthcare – Eindhoven. During my internships, I was involved in design projects exploring everything from development to future vision projects both in small and large scale. I met many talented people, experienced new cultures, and witnessed the powerful influence of design on people’s lives.

I now work as an Industrial Designer at Laerdal Medical in Stavanger / Norway after having three years of rewarding work, beautiful companionships, and an amazing personal journey.
